The Bangor HS girls soccer team defeated Mt.Ararat 2-1 in overtime to win a 4th consecutive Eastern Maine Class A title. Anna-Marie Daher scored the game winner two and a half minutes into OT.

The Rams scored the first goal of the game, 22-minutes into the first half. Allie Boulier scored on an assist from Mary Butler.

Mt.A scored the game tying goal with just under 12-minutes to play. The ball deflected off a Bangor player in the front of the net on a corner kick.

So with the score 1-1, Dagher scored the winner at 12:36 of overtime on a shot that hit the left post, deflected over the goal line and behind the Eagles keeper.

Bangor is now 16-1 and will meet either Windham or Thornton Academy in the state final on Saturday. The west regional game is today at 6PM.
