Rogerson Gets 10th-Inning Walk-Off For Witches [SCORES]
The Brewer Witches scored a 10-inning 2-1 walk-off win over Edward Little HS in their Class A season opener played at Mahaney Diamond in Orono.
Witches shortstop Kobe Rogerson ripped a single to centerfield in the bottom of the 10th inning to score Josiah Cyr from second base to end the thriller. Rogerson went 2-for-5 on the day.
The game was played on the turf in Orono because Heddericg Field in Brewer is not quite dry enough yet.
Brewer's Jack Corey pitched the first eight innings (88 pitches), allowing just one run, five hits. Jon Wheaton pitched two scoreless innings and got credit of the win.
EL's Damien St. Pierre was equally as tough. He pitched nine innings, giving up one run, seven hits and he struck out 10.
