Rowan Andrews of the Bangor girls basketball team has been named First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week after scoring a game-high 18 points in last Saturday's 49-38 victory over Deering.

Andrews, a junior guard, won with 28.49 percent of the vote.

She tallied seven points, two steals and two rebounds in last Thursday's loss to Hampden Academy.

Bangor's 41-37 win at Windham on Tuesday improved the Rams to 7-5.

Other nominees this week included Bryce Lausier of Hampden, Cody Hawes of Hermon, Alydia Brilliant of Hampden Academy and Cooper Wirkala of Oceanside.

Bangor's Matt Fleming, Orono's Connor Robertson and Nick Boudreau of the Bangor hockey team have also earned Athlete of the Week honors during the 2018-19 winter sports season.
