The Husson University football team needed a late touchdown and overtime to get their first win of the season, a 34-28 victory over Alfred State.After scoring the game tying touchdown late in the fourth quarter on a touchdown run by Logan Steward that put the score at 28-28, the teams went to overtime where the Pioneers were intercepted by Stephan Dance on their first play. Husson worked the ball to the 2 yard line on their first possession of overtime allowing Seccareccia to jump over the line for the winning touchdown.
Seccareccia finished the day 24-35 for 251 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sophomore Deon Wiggins had 8 receptions for 99 yards a touchdown.
Stephan Dance who had the big interception in overtime also finished with a team high 11 tackles.
