South Portland LL Falls To 1-1 At NE Regional
The South Portland American Little League All Star team got shutout by Connecticut this afternoon, 8-0. That drops the Maine champs to 1-1 in the New England LL Regional in Bristol, Connecticut.
After scoring a 9-7 comeback win over Vermont yesterday, South Portland was blanked by the Connecticut - Fairfield American team and could muster only two hits.
The loss sends South Portland to an elimination game vs Rhode Island Tuesday night at 7pm.
It is a double elimination format with the winner moving on to the LLWS.
