The UMaine hockey team has played well at Alfond Arena this season but road games continue to be an issue. The latest stumble was in Vermont, losing to the Cats 3-2.While the Bears have a record of 6-1 at home, they dropped to 0-4-1 on the road after allowing the game winning goal with under three minutes to play in the opener of their weekend set at Vermont.

Devin Shore and Steven Swavely each scored in a six minute span of the second period to give the Bears a lead, however the Catamounts would score the last two goals including the game winner from Chris Muscoby at the 17:11 mark of the third period.

The Bears are now 6-5-1 overall and 3-2-1 in Hockey East.
