For the second straight year, UMaine and Hartford will meet in the America East Conference championship game with the winner gaining entrance to the NCAA Tournament.

Tip time is 5pm on Friday at the Cross Center in Banor.

A year ago, 3,373 people attended  the title game at the Cross Center. Check out some of the highlights...

The (24-7) Black Bears return five of the six top scorers from last year's championship game. Only Julie Brosseau, who transferred to Utah, is gone for the team that beat the Hawks 74-65.

Hartford (23-9) returns five players who saw significant minutes in the title game a year ago.

And then there are two games the teams played this AE regular season. The Hawks won the first one, 49-46 in Hartford in mid-January.

The Black Bears won the second meeting, 78-58, at the Cross Center in Bangor.

It's the top seed vs the #2 seed and as they say, something has got to give!

NOTE: ESPN bracketologist Charlie Creme has projected the America East winner entering the NCAA field as a #13 or #14 seed and playing at Syracuse.
