With the Maple Leafs in the rear view mirror now, the Boston Bruins turn their attention to Coach John Tortorella and his Columbus Blue Jackets for the second round of the NHL playoffs. CBJ played giant killer in round, sweeping #1 seed Tampa Bay.

John Tortorella played his college hockey for the upstart UMaine Black Bears program back in the late 1970s.

He started his coaching career in the minor leagues of hockey in 1986 and has been behind the bench somewhere for more than three decades.

Tortorella has taken 11 NHL teams to the playoffs, including the Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning in 2003-04.

If Toronto was seen as more of a 'skilled team' opponent for the Bruins, the Blue Jackets will be more a 'heavy' team to play. Cam Atkinson, Boone Jenner and former Bruins player Riley Nash will play the checking and physical game just like the Bruins.

Tortorella, known for his hard edge coaching and dailed it back a bit. One thing is for sure, he'll get every once out of his players.

NOTE: Game one of the best-of-7 series is tomorrow night at Boston Garden.
