UM Softball Sweeps,Baseball Struggles

UMaine pitcher Alexis Bogdanovich won her 13th game of the season, a one hit 10-0 shutout over Hartford. The Black Bears get a weekend sweep of the Hawks.

Bogdanovich got her third shutout of the season, striking out nine in just five innings of work.

On offense, the Bears hit three home runs.

Maine is tied for second place in America East at 8-4 (19-17 overall).

At UMBC:  UMaine baseball lost 6-3 Sunday afternoon and wind up losing two of three to the Retrievers.

The Bears are 5-9 in AE, in last place. The Bears overall record is 15-22.
