The University of Maine is hosting its Homecoming Weekend over the next few days and will include numerous athletic events on the Orono campus.

The men's ice hockey team kicks things off with a weekend series with the #3 ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats at the Alfond Arena.  The Black Bears enter the contest with a 2-0 record after beating RPI in both games a week ago.  Games will be played on both Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m.

The football team will also try to continues its two game winning streak with a tough test in Albany on Saturday at noon.  The Black Bears have beaten Bryant and Delaware in consecutive weeks and are now sitting at 2-3 for the year.  The Great Danes come into town with a 4-1 overall record, but lost against Richmond in a three overtime affair.

Among other contest on campus include the field hockey team playing two games in Orono on Friday against Vermont and Sunday versus the University of California. The women's soccer team is hosting a Pink Game on Sunday at 1 p.m. Sunday against New Hampshire, while the women's ice hockey team faces Merrimack on Friday at 2 p.m. and then face Boston College in Auburn at 7 p.m.
