UMaine freshman goalie Jeremy Swayman has made the final roster for the U.S. Junior National Team and will play in the upcoming World Junior Tournament.

Swayman played in the final pre-tournament tuneup game against Sweden Friday night. He came into the game halfway through the second period and stopped all eight shots he saw. The U.S. team beat Sweden 3-1.

So Swayman, BU's Jake Oettinger and BC's Joe Woll will be the goalies when USA opens World Junior play in Buffalo on Tuesday. The opponent will  be Denmark.

The only two UMaine goalies to play for the U.S. Juniors at the World Junior are Jimmy Howard (2003) and Mike Dunham (1991, 1992).
