UMaine's Liz Wood is America East Conference Player-of-the-Week as averaging over 20 points per game last  week.

Wood helped the Black Bears to two wins by scoring 21.5 ppg, 7 rpg, 3.5 spg and 2.5 apg

Sunday: The UMaine women's basketball team got out shot and out rebounded but found a way to beat Stony Brook 55-52 in an America East Conference game Sunday afternoon.

The Black Bears shot just 34.5% from the field. The Sea Wolves shot 46%.

Maine got out rebounded 34-27.

The Bears did turnover Stony Brook 20 times and scored 21 points off of those miscues.

Liz Wood led Maine is scoring with 20 points. Lauren Bodine was the only other Black Bear in double-digit scoring with 10.

The win puts Maine into second place in America East at 5-1 (14-7 overall).

Stony Brook is now 5-2 AE (13-7 overall).
