USA Hockey has named Bob Corkum as head coach for the U.S. Under-18 Select Team that will compete in the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in August.

Corkum is currently serving as UMaine's interim head coach and has expressed interest in being the next head coach of the Black Bears. Tim Whitehead and UMaine parted company last month.

The international tournament is held in Finland. It is also known as the Under-18 World Junior Cup.

Corkum has past experience with USA Hockey, as both an assistant coach and head coach with various age levels.
