Seven standout performers from last weekend's regional championship games have been nominated for First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week honors.

The nominees are Parker Deprey of Caribou, Lexi Ireland of Penobscot Valley, Bailey Donovan of Hampden, Sydney Brewer of Southern Aroostook, Julia Watras of MDI, Travis Thompson of Schenck and Matt Fleming of Bangor.

Parker Deprey of Caribou helped lead the Vikings to a Class B North title with a 43-40 victory over the Hermon Hawks. Deprey scored a game-high 19 points as the Vikings ended the Hawks' 42-game winning streak. Caribou will play Cape Elizabeth for a state title on Saturday in Portland.

Sydney Brewer of Southern Aroostook helped lead the Warriors to another regional title on Saturday. Brewer, a junior, scored 17 points in her team's 62-49 win over Deer-Isle Stonington, putting her one point shy of 1,000 career points. The Warriors will play Greenville in the D title game on Saturday at the Cross Center.

Julia Watras of MDI scored a game-high 17 points in the Trojans' 44-35 win against previously unbeaten Waterville in the B North finals. The senior captain's biggest moment of the tournament came in Wednesday's win against Winslow in the semifinals, when Watras hit a last second three-pointer to send the game into overtime.

Matt Fleming of Bangor scored 27 points as the Rams earned their first regional title since 2011 with a 56-52 triumph over Edward Little on Friday. Fleming also scored a team-high 21 points in the Rams' 61-41 semifinal win against Portland last Tuesday.

Lexi Ireland of Penobscot Valley scored 16 points as the Howlers defeated the Dexter Tigers, 24-20, in the C North regional final. Ireland, a junior, also scored a game-high 25 points in her team's semifinal win over Stearns. The Howlers will play Boothbay in the state title game on Saturday at the Cross Center.

Bailey Donovan of Hampden tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds in the Broncos' 32-28 win over top-seeded and previously unbeaten Skowhegan. It was Donovan's third straight double-double of the tournament. With the win, the Broncos advance to play Greely in the Class A title game on Friday at the Augusta Civic Center.

Travis Thompson of Schenck scored his 1,000th career point in the Wolverines' win against Jonesport Beals in the D North title game on Saturday. Thompson's 20 points helped lead the No. 4 Wolverines to an impressive 70-47 victory. Schenck will play Forest Hills this weekend in the state championship game.

Voting is restricted to once every 24 hours. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27.
