As the Maine High School Basketball tournament approaches, we have three nominees from the hard court for this week's High School Athlete of the Week.

Alydia Brillant, Hampden Academy

Brillant had a game-high 17 points and 7 rebounds in a 53-41 victory over Class AA Bangor, helping the Broncos to their eighth-straight win and avenging their only loss of the season.

Trinity Montigny, Ellsworth High School

Montigny scored her 1,000th point and racked up some impressive numbers during the week. Montingy played three games and had  72 points, 13 rebounds, 7 steals,and 10 assists in that time.


Henry Westrich, Bangor High School

Westrich had a monster game as the Rams knocked the Hampden Academy Broncos squarely out of the unbeaten ranks. The senior guard scored 27 points in the 80-54 win.
