Three of the biggest names on the high school hoops scene are nominated for Player of the Week honors. Time to vote for your choice.
Caribou Senior Parker Deprey: The Vikings played four games last week and Deprey and company won all four of the them. Caribou is now 15-1 and has a secure hold on that #1 spot in Class B North. Deprey had 21 points and nine rebounds holding off Ellsworth's bid to beat them.
Bangor Senior Sam Martin: The Rams won their two games last week, including a 65-44 victory at Deering. The 6-foot-8 Martin had 27 points, 18 rebounds and eight blocks in that win. The Rams are #2 in Class AA North at 10-3.
Ellsworth Senior Jackson Curtis: The Eagles big man scored his 1000th career point in a win over Presque Isle, scoring 27 in that game. Curtis had a double-double in a win over MDI and 18 points in the game vs Caribou. The Eagles are #2 in Class B North at 11-3.
