The  race for the top spot in Class A North continues as both the Brewer Witches and Hampden Broncos scored Tuesday night wins.

The Witches beat the Camden Hills Windjammers 69-57 in a game heard live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.

The Witches opened up a 21 point second half lead only to see the Jammers cut that lead to six late in the game. Brewer ended up winning by a dozen. Carter Smith scored 21 points, Matt Pushard added 20. Noah Heidorn led the Jammers with 20. Brewer is now 13-2, Camden Hills is 2-13.

Meanwhile, the Hampden Broncos handled Gardner 79-48 to go to 15-0. Nick Gilpin led the Broncs with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Hampden opens up a nine point lead for first place in the Heal Points. The Broncos and Witches meet next Thursday in the regular season finale.

In Class AA schoolboy action, the Bangor boys scored a big road win at Oxford Hills  68-59. The Rams improve to 4-11 and may have locked up a spot in the AA playoffs. Ethan Dorman led Bangor with 25 points. Andrew Flemming had 34 for Oxford Hills.
