UMaine's opponent in Friday night's WNIT tournament game, the Quinnipiac Bobcats, were sailing along in the MAAC until the second quarter of the conference semi-final game.

That's when senior captain Maria Napolitano suffered a knee injury. The Bobcats held on to win that game but lost to Iona in the MAAC championship game, ending a 19 game winning streak.

Napolitano was averaging 12 PPG and always took on the other teams top scorer.

Quinnipiac will need to lean on its balanced scoring in the WNIT against Maine. The Bobcats have six other players averaging between six and eight points a game.

The Bobcats are 12-1 at home this season. The Black Bears are 10-7 on the road.

NOTE:  Friday night tip time has been set for 7pm...UMaine officials now say if the Black Bears win their first round WNIT game and Temple wins its game, Maine would host a second round game next Monday or Tuesday. If Drexel wins its matchup with Temple, the game would be at Drexel.
