Maine Up To #26, Wright Wins Award

UMaine Black Bear wide receiver and punt returner Micah Wright was announced Monday morning as the Colonial Athletic Association Special Team Player of the Week for his role in the Bears' 35-28 victory over William & Mary this past Saturday.

Wright helped UMaine with a 67 yard punt return for a touchdown on special teams in the third quarter, which ended up being the game-winning score for UMaine on the road. The talented receiver also caught three passes for 40 yards with a touchdown.

The Black Bears moved up to #26 in the FCS Stats National Poll receiving 78 total votes.

The Black Bears have now won five straight games after besting the Tribe this past Saturday (5-3 record overall) and will now gear up for a home contest with Villanova on Saturday afternoon.
