AE Champ Vermont Gets Florida State

The America East Conference men's basketball champion, the (27-6) Vermont Catamounts are heading to Hartford, Connecticut to play Florida State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Vermont is a #13 seed and the ACC's Florida State is a #4 seed. The game is on Thursday. The Seminoles are 27-7 while the Cats are 27-6. The game is part of the West Regional.

Two other New England schools are in the NCAA field - Northeastern and Yale.

The Northeastern Huskies are a #13 seed and will play #4 seed Kansas in the Midwest Regional.

The Yale Bulldogs from the Ivy League are a #14 seed and get #3 LSU in the first round of the East Regional.

Duke, Virginia, North Carolina and Gonzaga are the four #1 seeds in the tourney.
