For the second straight year and for the fourth time in the last five years, the UMaine women's basketball team will be the #1 seed for the American East Conference Tournament.

The Black Bears finished AE play at 15-1 (22-7 overall) and will host #8 New Hampshire Wednesday night at the Cross Center.

The semi-final round takes place Sunday, March 10th and the highest remaining seed hosts the conference title game on Friday, March 15th.

NOTE: As of yesterday, ESPN's Charlie Creme and his bracketology has UMaine, if the Bears become AE champs, as a #14 NCAA seed playing #3 Maryland.
