Another Alley Reaches 1000 Points

The Alley basketball family has another 1000 point scorer. Stearns High School senior Katherine Alley hit the mark in her team's 54-37 win over Bucksport at the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame Classic Tournament at the Cross Center in Bangor Saturday morning.

Alley entered the game needing 20 points to reach the 1000 mark. She hit for 32 points.

Katherine's dad, Ray, is the all-time schoolboy scorer with 2,306 points. He played as an 8th grader at VInalhaven HS.

Her mother, Kristi Wildman Tapley, scored 1,181 for Stearns HS.

Katherine's older sisters, Raychel and Emma, both were 1000 point scorers in high school.

Younger sister, Alisyn, is a sophomore and well on her way to 1000 points.

The MBHOF Classic win is a countable game in Heal Points and puts Stearns at 9-0 in Class C North.

Bucksport drops to 2-4.
