A good day in Florida for Maine baseball teams. The UMaine Black Bears scored a 3-2 win over Florida Atlantic. The Husson Eagles swept a doubleheader from Becker 22-5 and 12-2.

Coach Steve Trimper's Bears one run win over Florida Atlantic is a quality win. The Owls are an 11-6 team.

Alex Calbick went 3 for 4 with a RBI and a run scored to lead the offense. Jeff Gelinas pitched the first five innings to get his first college win.

Maine is 5-11 and play Florida Atlantic again today at 6:30pm.

 

Coach Jason Harvey's Husson Eagles pounded out 34 runs and 32 hits in their doubleheader sweep of Becker  College.

Dylan Foster and Kyle Bishop each had three hits in game one. Josh Gaudette drove in three runs.

Foster, Gaudette and Dennis Meehan had three hits each in game two.

Tim Nason and Dennis O'Neil got the wins on the mound.

The Eagles are off to a 3-1 start in Florida. Today is an off day for the Eagles.
