The Maine Black Bears Soccer Team saw their season come to an end on Friday night, November 14th, after they lost to the 7th seeded, University of Central Florida Knights 2-0 in Orlando in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

It was Maine's 3rd consecutive NCAA Tourney appearance after winning America East.

The Knights led 1-0 after scoring at 20:11 in the 1st Half, and then added an insurance goal with 19:35 gone in the 2nd Half.

UCF outshot Maine 17-7 and had a 5-2 shot-on-goal advantage. UCF had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Elena Barenberg had 3 saves in goal for Maine and finishes the season 5-5-3.

Maine finishes the 2025 season 6-8-4. UCF improves to 12-3-5 and will play #2 Duke in the Round of 32 next.
