Black Bears Sign Four In Early NLI
The CAA champion UMaine Black Bears got four National Letters of Intent during today's early signing period.
The NLIs include at wide receiver, running back, tight end and defensive back.
The loner Mainer is Jack True from Yarmouth.
Clark Barnes | WR | 6'2" | 200 lbs | Brampton, Ontario | Clarkson Secondary
Barnes was ranked as the No. 5 Canadian player of the 2019 class ... a Top Prospect Canada Most Valuable Player ... named to Team Ontario ... guided Clarkson Secondary to the No. 1 team ranking in Canada. His squad played a full, American schedule and earned victories over State Champion Cathedral Prep and Cheshire Academy.

An All-WCAC Third Team and Honorable Mention selection ... aside from his time as a defensive back, also spent time in high school as a kick and punt returner ... ranked as the ninth-best DB in the DC area by MaxPreps.
Coach Harasymiak on McKinney: "Satchel is a perfect fit for our defense. He has impressive press technique at the corner position which will match-up exactly with our scheme on defense. We are looking forward to him locking up opposing receivers."

An All-Conference selection his senior year ... Nominated to play in the Maine High School Senior All-Star Lobster Bowl ... guided his team to a State Championship game appearance during his sophomore season ... ranked as the 11th best tight end in Connecticut by MaxPreps.
