The Calais Blue Devils bedeviled rival Narraguagus Knights yet again, upsetting the No. 3 seed in a tight quarterfinal contest in Bangor Tuesday morning.

Sophomore Lauren Cook led the No. 11 Blue Devils, scoring 22 points in the 53-49 win over the Knight at the Cross Insurance Center.

The Blue Devils showed they were not your average 11-seed, outplaying the Knights and earning a spot in the Class C semifinals.

Calais (13-6) had handed the Lady Knights their only regular season loss. Narraguagus, who finished the season at 17-2, later avenged that loss in the final game of the season. But Calais proved too much for Knights Tuesday morning, with strong performances by both Cook and freshman Sophie McVicar, who added 10 points for the Blue Devils.

Madison Leighton led the Knights with 10 points.

Calais will play Dexter in the semifinals at 2:05 p.m. on Friday Feb. 23.
