Husson football has its first Player of the Week award winner in their new Commonwealth Coast Conference. In fact, the Eagles had two award winners.

CCC Special Teams Player of the Week: Soph RB Shawn Noel, Jr. got the Eagles started vs Curry College with an 81 yard kickoff return touchdown. Noel also rushed for 145 yards and scored two rushing TDs in Husson's 42-40 victory.

CCC Defensive Rookie of the Week:  Fr DB Brandon Williams recorded two interceptions and a pass break up. He became the first rookie in program history to get two picks in a game.

NOTE: The Eagles will make more history Saturday afternoon at 1pm. The University of New England Nor'easters come to Winkin Complex for a CCC regular season game. It marks the first time Husson hosts an in-state school since restarting football in 2003...Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket, and the Ticket App have live coverage of the game at 1pm.
