Colby College has hired Husson University's Terren Allen to be the Mules next softball coach. Allen had been Eagles coach for the past four years.

Allen is from Bucksport and played her college softball at UMaine.

She led the Husson team to two North Atlantic Conference titles and two NCAA appearances. Her record with the Eagles was 94-66.

“The success and leadership that Terren has shown during her career will enhance our students’ athletic experience in immeasurable ways,” said Jake Olkkola, Colby’s Harold Alfond Director of Athletics. “I am thrilled to welcome her and her family to the Colby College community.” - Colby Press Release

Allen will take over the Colby softball program from Lisa-Ann Wallace who spent three seasons at the Waterville school. The Mules were 2-28 last spring and winless in NESCAC conference play.

“I am extremely excited to join the Colby College community,” Allen said. “I’m eager to start working with the players to establish a plan that will advance Colby to a highly competitive team in the NESCAC. I see nothing but positives for the future of Colby softball.” - Colby Press Release.

Husson Director of Athletics Frank Pergolizzi says a national search begins for a new coach. "We appreciate Terren's dedication and commitment to Huson softball and wish her the very best in her new position at Colby."
