It’s time for you to help us decide who should be the winner of this week’s High School Athlete of the Week.  This time we have two great performers on the gridiron and a field hockey standout.

Orono High School Senior Jackson Coutts helped create 400 yards of total offense for the Red Riots in a 27-26 victory against Dexter.  Coutts threw for 165 yards with a touchdown, and had 67 rushing yards of his own.  Orono is now 7-1 on the year, good for second place in Class D North.

Senior Kylie Nelson of Belfast High School continues to light up the back of the goal as she added four more in the 8-1 regional semifinal win over Winslow.  Nelson has a school record 90 goals during her career with the Lions and has helped Belfast to the regional title game Wednesday afternoon.  She is also one of three finalists for Miss Maine Field Hockey.

Mount Desert Island junior Colby Lee helped guide the Trojans to a 31-7 victory over Old Town in the final game of the regular season.  Lee had 187 yards rushing on 12 carries and added two touchdowns.  He has helped the MDI team to a 7-1 record and the #1 seed in Class C North.

The decision is up to you to choose who you think is the High School Athlete of the Week between these three great performers!
