Hampden Academy senior center Bailey Donovan has joined the high school 1,000 point club. 18 points against Skowhegan earlier in the week put her exactly with 1,000 for her career.

She has been a four-year starter for coach Nick Winchester's Broncos.

This season, the 6-foot-3 Donovan has averaged 20 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks per game. The Broncos are ranked #2 in Class A North with an 11-3 record. The team plays at Mt. Blue tonight.

NOTE: The Broncos will honor Donovan's achievement at their next home game on Tuesday vs Medomak Valley....Among the other schoolgirl players who have reached 1,000 career points this season are Lauren Cook of Calais, Faith Blethen from Boothbay and Kassie Farley of Washburn.
