Dresner Named UMaine Offensive Coordinator
New UMaine football head coach Nick Charlton has promoted wide receivers coach Andrew Dresner to offensive coordinator.
Charlton had been the OC until his promotion in late December replacing Joe Harasymiak as head coach.
"I am very excited to announce the promotion of Andrew Dresner as our offensive coordinator," Charlton said. "Last year he did a tremendous job coaching a nationally recognized receiver group, while also being an essential contributor to offensive game planning. Dresner joined the UMaine stafff a year ago after being the offensive coordinator at Pace University in New York. He has also coached at Merrimack, WPI and Union. Dresner played his college football at Union.
Charlton still has two hires to make on the defensive side of the staff. Defensive Coordinator Corey Hetherman and defensive backs coach Matt Birkett left to coach at James Madison University.
