It's getting late in the high school football season and Friday night's week #7 showdown between the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx and the Ellsworth Eagles has all kinds of LTC playoff implications.

The (3-3) Eagles may need to beat either M.A. or Bucksport in the final two weeks just to get in the top-6 playoff picture in the Little Ten Conference.

Coach Duane Crawford relies on the running of RB Javon Williams and QB Connor Crawford. They account for over 1,200 yards and 17 TDs but injuries have been an issue for them throughout the season.

The (4-2) Lynx are solid in the #3 spot in the LTC. But, Dexter and Mt. View are both 4-2 and trying to to move up in the standings.

Coach Pat House and his M.A. team own the top offense in the league - 2,790 yards over six games. That is an average of 465 yards a game. Kris Milner, Alex Brown, Diondre Duffy, Braydon Lujan and Cayden Spencer-Thompson are all a big part of it all.
