Senior ZyAnthony Moss of the MCI wrestling team picked up a big individual achievement over the past week.  Moss logged his 100th victory of his high school career and won the Tiger Tournament for the second consecutive year.  The senior is 8-0 on the 2017 season and now sports a 104-37 record overall in his time with the Huskies.

The Brewer Witches are 2-0 on the season and Kobe Rogerson has been a key contributor to the team’s success.  Rogerson had a game high 18 points in the Witches lone game this week in a 55-49 victory over Messalonskee.  In addition to the 18 points, he also had 9 versus Nokomis in the season opener for the unbeaten Witches.

Senior Chelsea Crockett for the Nokomis Warriors is averaging 15.5 points per contest this season after dropping 19 against Brewer on opening night and 12 versus Mt Blue this past Friday.  Crockett has helped the Warriors to a 2-0 record on the season and also has 10 key fourth quarter free throws for Nokomis in the early season.

Talented sophomore Isaac Varney of the Hermon Hawks scored a team high 16 points in a 62-53 victory over Washington Academy this past Friday.  The Hawks have not lost in the early parts of the 2017 season and Varney also had 12 points in a home win against Caribou in the opener.
