
Former Black Bear Bishop Named To NHL All Star Team
Former UMaine goalie, now Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop has been selected to play in the NHL All Star Game later this month. Patrice Bergeron was the lone Bruins pick.
The all star weekend is January 30th and 31st in Nashville.
Both Bishop and Bergeron were selected from the Atlantic Division.
Bishop has the fourth best goals-against-average in the NHL at 2.06. In 32 games he is 15-13-3 with a save percentage of .924%.
Bergeron has 15 goals and 12 assists for 37 points in 38 games.
This will be Bishop's first all star appearance. It's the second one for Bergeron.
