Another former University of Maine Black Bear is getting a professional football opportunity.

The Williamstown, NJ native will be joining the team after trying out for scouts of the NFL and CFL this past spring.  Collins played in 11 games in 2016 for UMaine and averaged almost 216 yards per game with 18 TDs through the air.  He also complied 166 completions, with 16 interceptions.

Collins will be competing with Drew Tate, Trevor Harris, Nate Hobbs, Ryan Lindley, and Austin Trainor to stay on the roster.  Ottawa will begin the 2017 campaign next Friday as they play Calgary at home.
