Tough way to start the season for the UMaine Black Bear baseball team. Top 10 nationally ranked Florida State no-hit the Bears 11-0.

The Seminoles jumped on Maine starter Cody Laweryson for three runs in the first inning. He would give up five runs over three innings of work.

Three other pitchers worked for the Bears.

Meanwhile, Florida State pitcher Drew Parrish worked five innings of no-hit ball, giving up just one walk and striking out five Black Bears.

Two other FSU continued to hold Maine hitless.

The teams play three more games on this opening weekend of the college baseball season.
