Go Time On Gridiron For Bangor, Brewer

Bangor and Brewer High School football teams hit the practice field today with an opening night date set for Friday, September 6th. And, for the first time in almost a decade the game will count as a regular season contest.

It will be the 108th meeting on the gridiron between the two schools.

The Rams vs Witches matchup is the opening week feature game on our 'Ticket TV' live video stream at 929theticket.com

2nd year head coach Dave Morris of Bangor welcomed 57 players to day one practice. The program has struggled in recent years, winning just one game in the last three seasons.

Brewer head coach Nick Arthurs begins his 6th season in the Witches program. They are coming off a 2-6 season in Class B and have a lot of young players that will need to fill spots vacated by a big senior class last year.

The Witches have won the last year games vs Bangor as exhibtion games, including last year's 26-12 victory at Doyle Field. This year's game is at Bangor's Cameron Stadium.
