In his weekly CAA teleconference this morning, UMaine football Joe Harasymiak said the injury sustained by quarterback Chris Ferguson is 'still being evaluated and at the moment considered day to day'. He offered little else in regards to the injury.

Ferguson left the game late in the first quarter in Saturday's game at Central Michigan with an apparent shoulder injury.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Isaiah Robinson (Bowie, Maryland) took over and finished the game.

Harasymiak said today he thought Robinson did well under the circumstances and gave the Bears a chance to win.

"He is someone we trust."

The Black Bears lost to FBS Central Michigan 17-5 and play Yale from the Ivy League in the final non-conference game this Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the weekly STATS/FCS national poll, the Black Bears drop three spots to #16 after the loss to Central Michigan. Maine is one of seven teams ranked in the top 25 poll this week...
