The Hermon Hawks improved to 9-1 with a 59-51 win over Orono. That is a season sweep for the Hawks over the Red Riots and keeps them in first place in Class B North.

Hermon showed a lot of quickness in building a nine point lead at the half, 27-18. Keenan Marseille had 11 of the points.

Then in the third quarter, Garrett Trask nailed three straight 3-pointers and the Hawks expanded their lead to 17.

The Red Riots kept staying in the game down the stretch, Keenan Collett scored nine points in the quarter and Jackson Coutts added eight.

The Hawks hit their free throws and got the win.

Marseille with 18 and Trask with 14 led Hermon. Collett led the Red Riots with 23.

Hermon is 9-1. Orono now 6-3.
