As the high school hockey season gets underway later this week it is important to note classification changes for the 2019-20 season. Perhaps the biggest - one statewide Class A division.

Much like football in the fall, boys ice hockey in Class A will be comprised of 13 teams, with Bangor being the northern-most school.

Three teams join the new Class B North - Cony, Gardiner and Maranacook.
