The defending Class B state champion Hermon Hawks jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead and went on to put away the Washington Academy Raiders 58-34 on Friday night.

The Hawks are 2-0 on the early season and dating back to the beginning of last season, Hermon has a 24 game win streak going on.

The Hawks defense forced a lot of Raider turnovers, and WA committed a bunch of unforced errors too.

Hermon led 23-3 after one quarter. 29-10 at the half and 48-15 after three.

Nine Hawks players scored points, led by senior Garrett Trask with 16.

Cecil Gray had eight points to lead (1-2) Washington Academy.
