The University of Southern Maine baseball team's quick start in Florida has the Huskies in the top 10 in this week's national poll.

USM jumped from 12th to 10th place in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA poll with a 4-1 record through Sunday.

The Huskies continue their Florida trip through Thursday.

Senior infielder/pitcher Jake Dexter from Messalonskee HS is leading the team with a .391 batting average and four RBI. He has pitched in three games and has one save. D3baseball.com named Dexter a preseason All-American.
