Husson Men’s Basketball Beat Thomas 85-71

The Husson Men's Basketball Team beat Thomas College 85-71 in Waterville on Friday, November 21st.

Husson led 35-30 at the Half.

The Eagles had 5 players in double figures. Andre McCauley led the Eagles with 22 points. Connor Heald had 17 points and Eric Ahlers finished with 13 points. Gil Matondo had a double-double with 12 points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Christian Smith had 10 points. Pierce Walston had 4 points and a team-hgih 6 assists.

Husson shot a sizzling 47.5 percent from the field. They were 8-23 from beyond the 3-point arc and 19-23 from the free throw line.

Thomas was led by TJ Blackmom with 20 points. Yasmo Mohamud had 15 points and former Ellsworth Eagle Isiah Corson had 13 points.

Thomas shot 43.5 percent from the field and were 4-22 from beyond the 3-point arc. They were 13-18 from the free throw ine.

Thomas is now 1-4 on the season and 0-1 in the North Atlantic Conference.

Husson is 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the North Atlantic Conference.

Husson will play at Lesley University on Saturday, November 22nd with the game tipping off at 1 p.m.
