
Johnson Fourth UMaine Player To Join NFL Team
Former UMaine Black Bear Derrick Johnson has signed with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent.Johnson was a key member of the wide receiving corp the last couple years and becomes the fourth member of last years team to sign with an NFL team joining Kendall James (Minnesota Vikings), Michael Cole (Washington Redskins), and Justin Perillo (Green Bay Packers).
Last season Johnson had 608 receiving yards on 60 catches and two touchdowns. He ended his UMaine career with 1,185 yards in 37 games.
