Lauren Hanna Named McDonald’s Athlete Of The Week

Lauren Hanna of Sumner Memorial High School has been named the McDonald's High School Athlete of the Week after a pair of solid outing last week against Machias and Orono.

Hanna pitched five innings against Machias, allowing no hits while striking out six batters.

She threw a complete game and struck out 12 against Orono. Hanna had a good day at the plate as well, hitting a triple and two singles.

Hanna also fared well at the plate this week against Searsport, hitting two doubles and a single.

Brooklyn Scott of Hampden Academy and Jonah Hudson of Presque Isle were also nominated for Athlete of the Week honors as both players had a solid week for their respective teams.
