Shortly after the Zone 1 American Legion tournament got underway, it came to an end thanks to thunderstorms that moved through Eastern Maine Wednesday night.Brewer and Trenton started play in the tourney opener and saw Brewer open up a 6-1 lead when the game entered a 1 hour 45 minute rain delay at the end of the 6th inning. Once the game resumed, the teams only got another half inning in before it was suspended because of an unplayable mound.

The two teams will return to the Winkin Complex today and conclude the game which begins in the bottom of the 7th inning. The second game of the tourney between top seed Bangor and Motor City will be played at 7pm live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket. The delay pushes the schedule back a day meaning the championship and if necessary game will be played on Sunday.
