Maine Hoops Teams In The National Polls

Two of the top 14 teams in the country in women's Division III hoops reside here in Maine. The Bowdoin Polar Bears will spend another week as #1 in the nation. St. Joseph's College moves up to #14 in the poll.

Bowdoin finished its first semester play with an 8-0 record.

St. Joe's moves from #16 to #14 with its 9-0 record.

NOTES: In the Division II ranks, Bentley women's basketball has climbed to #5 in the nation with last year's Miss Maine Basketball, Kolleen Bouchard (Houlton HS), averaging about 7 PPG and averaging about 20 minutes per game...The UMaine Black Bears women's team is ranked #12 in the nation the WBCA Mid-Major Poll.
