The Maine Women's Basketball Team fell to #10 North Carolina State 66-47 on Tuesday, November 11th in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Maine trailed 9-5 at the end of the 1st Quarter, 28-14 at the end of the 1st Half and 49-27 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Maine struggled from the field as North Carolina State's defense pressured the Black Bears all night. Maine shot just 29.0 percent from the field and were just 6-32 from beyond the 3-point arc. Maine only got to the free throw line 3 times, and were 1-3.

Asta Blaunfeldt led the Black Bears scoring, finishing with 16 points. Adrianna Smith had a double-double, with 11 points and 10 rebounds. She also let Maine with 6 assists.

The taller players from the Wolfpack dominated the boards, outrebounding Maine 54-36.

North Carolina State scored 42 points in the paint, while Maine had 22 points in the paint.

NC State is now 2-1 while Maine falls to 0-2

The Black Bears will play at Virginia Commonwealth on Friday, November 14th at 7 p.m. They return home to The Pit on Monday, November 17th when they host Stonehill at 6 p.m.
