
Maine Women’s Hockey Falls to Boston University 2-1
The Maine Women's Hockey team fell to Boston University 2-1 on Saturday, November 8th, a day after beating BU 3-1 on Friday.
Maine scored their lone goal in the 1st period, with 9:42 gone, on a power play. Lily Fetch scored, assisted by Lulu Rucinski and Gracie Hanson.
Maine led 1-0 at the end of the 1st period.
BU tied the game with 31.7 seconds left in the 2nd period, and then scored the winning goal with 10:26 left to play in the 3rd period.
Maine was 1-4 on the power play, while BU was 0-4.
Maine outshot BU 28-21.
Kiia Lahtinen had 19 saves in net for Maine
BU is now 2-8-0 overall and 2-3-0 in Hockey East.
Maine is now 3-7-1 overall and 1-2-1 in Hockey East.
Maine will travel to Holy Cross next weekend. They will play on Friday, November 14th at 7 p.m. and Saturday, November 15th at 5 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+
