The Maine Women's Ice Hockey Team fell to Holy Cross 3-1 on Saturday, November 15th in Worcester, Massachusetts
Maine took a 1-0 lead with 7:01 gone in the 1st Period, on a goal by Lila Shea, assisted by Paige Fong and Brenna Curl.
The Crusaders tied the game just 40 seconds later.
The game was tied 1-1 at the end of the 1st Period.
Holy Cross scored 2 goals in the 2nd Period, the 1st on a power play.
Maine was 0-4 on the power play, while Holy Cross was 1-4.
Maine outshot Holy Cross 42-22.
Kiia Lahtinen had 19 saves in goal for Maine, while Abby Hornung had 41 saves for Holy Cross.
Holy Cross is now 10-5-0 overall and 3-4-0 in Hockey East.
Maine is 4-8-1 overall and 2-3-1 in Hockey East. The Black Bears return home to The Alfond when thye will play Northeastern on Friday, November 21st at 6 p.m. and Satruday, November 22nd at 4 p.m.
